Main
House with attached Anglers Guest Cabin
This custom log home has an attached two car
garage, three bay carport and Guest Cabin. The Great Room and Den area
are vaulted and beamed with log, native sandstone and log walls, five
large picture windows and oak planked floor.
The home and cabin have 2200 sq. ft. of living space on one level.
Including the attached cabin there are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, the
full master bath has Jacuzzi tub, shower and single pedestal double sink.
The great room and den area are vaulted and beamed with log, native
sandstone wall, wood burning stove, five picture windows, and oak
planked floor. Ceiling mounted canister lighting throughout.
The half
acre Trout Pond is fed by its own spring well.

The
large St. Charles kitchen and dining area is complete with gas range,
Sub Zero side by side refrigerator/freezer, double wall ovens, custom
cabinets throughout, three sinks, 2 appliance garages, rock maple and
tile counter tops with under cabinet lighting, custom maple and pecan
chefıs desk and display shelves, a field stone wall, wood burning stove,
stunning views of the cottonwood trees and pond, carpeted dining area,
and double french doors opening onto the wrap around redwood deck.
There
is a full laundry room adjacent to the kitchen with washer and dryer,
stand up freezer, microwave, utility sink, folding table, cupboard and
open shelving. The adjacent mud room has an open closet and shelves
for outdoor apparel and boot storage. The mud room leads from the garage
for easy access.
The
Main House has three heating systems; a forced air gas furnace, electric
baseboards, and 2 wood burning stoves. The house has it's own spring
fed well system with excellent flow rates and pure delicious water.
There is an automated underground sprinkler system irrigating the manicured
lawn and trees. The yard has numerous mature evergreens and deciduous
trees. The front of the house is landscaped with 20 year old junipers,
mature cotoneasters as well as red twigged dogwoods and flowering crabs.
The front entrance has a large covered redwood decked porch, with an
unobstructed view of stunning Emigrant Mountain.



The
three bay carport leads to the Guest Cabin which has two large picture
windows, a bath with shower, custom log furniture, a beverage refrigerator,
open shelving, an armoire, electric baseboard heat, and a loft. There
is a private redwood sun deck in front of the cabin with mountain ash
trees, junipers and cotoneasters planted in front and on the north side
of the Cabin.
Behind
the Cabin there is a smokehouse and separate wine/root cellar. The smokehouse
is a cold smoker with three racks. The wine cellar maintains a cool
55 degrees year round and has shelves on both sides with a double door
entry. There is also a 20' x 40' fenced garden area, and a fenced dog
run with dog house.

The
half acre trout pond was added in 1995 and is fed by it's own spring
well. The area surrounding the pond is landscaped with grasses and shrubs,
golden willows, red twigged dogwoods, cottonwoods and flowering water
lilies which all provide shade and cover for the bird life and trout.
The pond floor is covered with aquatic plants which hold shrimp, craw
dads, may, caddis and damsel flies and other natural aquatic foods for
the healthy trout population and is 13 feet at itıs deepest to insure
quality trout habitat during the winter months. There is a sun deck
adjacent to the pond.

Six
Mile Creek runs the length of the property through a mature cottonwood
grove and holds good populations of wild brown and native cutthroat
trout. The crystal clear trout stream, which flows year round, is 75
yards from the rear deck and is accessed by a foot path through the
cottonwoods. The woods are home to a variety of birds and wildlife.
There is a picnic area with an open fire ring, benches, tables, swing,
hammock and horseshoe pits on the bank of the creek for streamside Bar-B-Ques.
